Austin, Unknown, November 1, 2025 — Austin’s technology sector marked a milestone this week as Avride, a homegrown robotics startup, introduced its new fleet of autonomous delivery robots to serve downtown retailers. The initiative, launched on 1 November 2025, is the result of close collaboration with local shops aiming to streamline real-time order fulfilment during the bustling holiday season.
Avride’s compact, white robots, equipped with advanced sensors and LED displays, will navigate sidewalks between Cesar Chavez and 15th streets, offering swift and contactless delivery for participating stores. The company’s chief executive, Dmitry Polishchuk, described the project as “a significant step in supporting Austin’s retail community with innovative, efficient solutions.”
Retailers have welcomed the partnership, noting the robots’ reliability and the potential to enhance customer satisfaction during peak shopping periods. The service, available through select retail partners, is expected to expand to additional neighbourhoods as demand grows, positioning Austin at the forefront of urban delivery innovation.
