A Grand Opening celebration for the latest Handel’s will take place at 23369 Mulholland Dr, Woodland Hills, CA 91364 on Thursday, October 19th.

Fans are in for a treat as the first 100 guests will receive Handel’s swag, plus there will be giveaways throughout the day. The Grand Opening festivities start at 11 a.m.

The Woodland Hills Handel’s is a women-owned family venture. The store is led by Zara Asfar and her daughters, Samar Asfar and Jayron Ashfar. Zara and Samar immigrated to the U.S. from Iran and are living the American dream with Jayron by fulfilling their dreams of entrepreneurship and fostering a community gathering spot through Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream. The family resides in the Woodland Hills area.

“We’ve wanted to go into business together and Handel’s was the perfect thing. The idea of having an ice cream shop where our neighbors and friends can pop in to enjoy a treat and we can see familiar faces, make new friendships and interact with our neighborhood is the perfect fit for our personalities,” said Zara Asfar, Co-owner of the Woodland Hills Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream. “One of the reasons we chose this location is because it feels like home. The people in this community are our friends, family and neighbors. They coach and teach our kids and grandkids, they’re our dentists, doctors, clients, and more. They are a large part of our lives and we’re so excited to offer them something that’s so dear to us.”

The Woodland Hills Handel’s is 1,600 sq. ft. and will feature local flavors including Black Cherry, Buckeye, Coffee Chocolate Chip, Graham Central Station, Oree-Dough, Salty Caramel Truffle, the newly launched Horchata, and more. The store will offer dine-in, pickup, delivery, and catering.

The Woodland Hills location will be open daily from 11 a.m.–10 p.m.
