Charney Investment Group is pleased to announce the addition of its newest team member, Tim Boyd.
HARRISBURG, PA, August 26, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — Charney Investment Group (CIG) is proud to announce an addition to our team: new Financial Advisor, Tim Boyd. Tim comes to us from State Farm, where he specialized in retirement planning, wealth management, and life insurance. Tim’s stated mission is to “enhance the quality of life of my clients,” which dovetails with the CIG principle of client-centricity–always putting the client first.
Tim’s professional experience is varied, to say the least. A graduate of Drexel University, he started his career as an Equity Options Trader on the Philadelphia Stock Options Exchange in 1983. In 1994, he moved his family to Chicago to start Beartooth Capital, an equity options specialist firm located on the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Beartooth was sold in 2001.
From 2002 to 2013, Tim operated an import/export business, became a Financial Advisor for Northwestern Mutual in Chicago, and served a short time as the Board Chairman for Bridge Communities, a nonprofit whose mission is to combat homelessness
In 2013, Tim moved with his wife Cathy to Harrisburg and opened a State Farm Agency. Tim and Cathy were grateful to reunite with friends and family in the area.
After 8 years with State Farm, Tim is ready to embark on a new adventure with us here at Charney Investment Group. Tim looks forward to developing strong and lasting relationships with our clients.
