Meagan is an Human Resources consultant, author, empowerment speaker, blogger, podcaster, and a mental health counselor. Meagan’s passion is to become a trailblazing voice for young girls and women worldwide.  Drawing on her own experiences of abuse, rejection, and abandonment, Meagan uses her words to encourage others to build a home within themselves; to love, live, and create fearlessly.

Meagan recently launched an Human Resources brand, Maize Consulting and a mental health empowerment brand, Mental Rich.

Meagan believes that “a woman who believes in herself has everything”.

Why are you so passionate about helping others?

I have always been passionate about helping others since I was a young girl.  I am a natural caregiver and am looking to make a difference.  I am blessed that I can help others and be supportive to their needs as it feels great to be compassion to someone else needs.  I have always had an interest in helping young girls and women find their destiny.  Drawing on my own experiences of abuse, rejection, and abandonment, I decided to use my words to encourage young girls and women to build a home within themselves; to love, live, and create fearlessly.

Tell us about your business.

I have two businesses.  Maize Consulting is a Human Resources Consulting firm, that specializes in helping startup, small and medium size businesses assess their current human resources needs.  Meagan Copelin Global is the parent company of various brands, to include Mental Rich.  Mental Rich is a mental health movement dedicated to helping women of color who suffer from mental illnesses, steaming from abuse, abandonment and rejection.

What’s next for Meagan personally?

Personally, I would love to settle down and meet the love of my life and become a wife and mom.  I pray that GOD blesses me to become the things I desire one day.  I know GOD will bless me and I am confident I will be a great wife and mom.

What is the one thing that you know for sure?

One thing that I know for sure is that GOD is the center of my life and I make no moves without him.  I also know that no matter what, I will succeed in life.

What is the greatest lesson that you have learned in ministry/business?

I have learned that not everything I do in business needs to be announced to the world.  I have also learned that all starts with GOD, daily growth is important, a positive attitude makes a difference and balance is very essential.  I have also learned that collaboration is fundamental in business.

What advice would you give to that person who’s business is no doing so great and wants to give up?

Remember, Rome was not built in a day.  Do not give up.  Dedicate time to work on your business daily.  I would also say give up on the short-term mindset.  It is also important to invest in the right resources for a business to grow, whether that’s reading books or hiring a coach.  Just don’t give up.
